Treating yourself to a decadent meal, dessert or piece of chocolate now and again is perfectly fine, so long as you are treating yourself healthy the rest of the time. Food, food celebrations, celebrations of food are all around us. Have you ever stopped to consider that food is meant to be your medicine? The morsels we ingest are meant to have our body running optimally, energizing us and keeping us strong.
With so many choices of great, nutritious, healthy vibrant food to choose from, why would we settle for less than the best for our own bodies? Blessing the food we consume with this simple quote written so long ago, “Let food be thy medicine, and let medicine be thy food.” just may bring us peace with food and build a foundation for all of our food choices to come. Treat yourself to the rainbow of delicious and nutritious choices that await you. Enjoy the choices you make, let them satisfy you, taste, sample and explore only the best, after all, it is your amazing body and your amazing life. Let food be thy medicine.
